Volunteer Fund Raising Groups Needed

Due to our small size of our shelter our volunteer opportunities are currently limited to self-directed fund raising activities. Such activities include bake sales, door-to-door canvassing, etc. If you or your school or scouting group is interested in doing fundraising activity to help the animals please complete this form, and our staff will contact you with more information.

NOTE: Children under the age of 12 are prohibited from any direct animal care activities due to liability issues. We do not have the space to handle groups. However we encourage such individuals or groups to help our homeless animals by raising money and bringing supplies to the shelter. Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Portage Animal Protective League. Please fill out this form completely and return to the volunteer coordinator. Print clearly. We canschedule a shelter tour for you or your group.

Contact our volunteer coordinator to schedule a date to drop your donations at the shelter.
We will take a photo. Complete the attached donation form and bring it with you.

Supervision: Due to budget restraints the Portage APL does not have any staff available to work
with volunteer fund raising groups other than conducting a scheduled shelter tour or giving you some
ideas for fund raising activities.

Liability Waiver -

I, we agree to hold the Portage Animal Protective League, its Board of Directors, employees, volunteers, and
sponsors/contributors free from all liability and/or all claims for injuries or damages to my property or person or
the property or person of my son/daughter or group. I, we hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and
administrators, waive, release and forever discharge my rights and claims for damages which I have or which
may hereafter accrue to me or my son/daughter or group arising out of or connected with our participation in any
activities of Portage Animal Protective League.

I, we give permission to the Portage APL to use my/our likeness in any photographs and/or videos in any of its
publications, the local newspaper or world wide web.
