All of our efforts are funded through donations.
Your donation will be used towards things like animal care, food and nutrition, toys and bedding to medical needs like spay and neuter surgeries, immunizations and rehabilitative medical care.
By donating to Portage APL, you can help change the lives of our animals.
How Your Gift Makes a Difference
Your unrestricted, tax-deductible donation can help in many ways. Here are a few examples:
- $25 can provide 5 dog heartworm tests
- $35 can provide 15 cat vaccinations
- $50 can give 100 cats or 50 dogs meals
- $100 can provide 15 Felv cat tests
- $250 can provide 60 dog vaccinations
- $300 can help amputate a limb
- $1000 can spay/neuter 25 shelter animals

You Can Help
There are many ways to give back to your community. By donating to Portage Animal Protective League your generosity touches the lives of countless cats and dogs (sometimes others like ferrets, horses, pigs etc.) that pass through our doors each year. You also help hundreds of others that are rescued and placed in foster homes.
Your contributions directly benefit the animals we serve and ensure that future generations of families in Portage County can count on Portage APL to provide education, humane law enforcement, pet food assistance and adoption right here in our own community.
As the shelter has grown and evolved, so has the need for increased support to cover operating expenses. Portage APL relies on donations to fund operations and continue our important work caring for homeless, sick, injured and abused animals.
